The Opportunity

We're Planview, the only Value Stream Management company that transforms traditional businesses into high-performing tech companies. Our Value Stream Management (VSM) platform has enabled our customers to dramatically reduce their time to market and increase the velocity of software development.

We're seeking a Sr. Software Engineer II (Staff) to join our team in Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will help design, integrate, implement, and test cloud systems for Copilot, Planview's generative AI interface for our products. These systems will allow users to interact with an AI to identify management concerns and suggest possible actions to address the concerns.

You will be collaborating with multiple teams within Planview including Product and Data Science. Multiple Planview teams will provide a variety of management data including OKR's, product portfolios, and engineering work tickets.

The ideal candidate enjoys leading technical discussions across product teams and mentoring team members.

What You'll Do

  • Drive technical and process innovation
  • Collaborate closely with product development management to bring new features to market
  • Design and improve product architecture
  • Develop and deploy scalable services using CI/CD
    Lead integration discussions between this team and other product teams
  • Mentor team members

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience and a proven ability to deliver
  • 5+ years of experience with Java, and its idioms and design patterns
  • 3+ years of working experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • 1+ years of experience leading team members in feature development
  • 2+ years of experience integrating with other teams or third parties
  • Experience maintaining and deploying highly available, fault-tolerant systems
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment where you build it, you support it
  • A strong understanding and belief in modern coding and design and principles
  • Knowledge of best practices in software design and agile development processes
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
