Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer, the Assistant Chief Power Engineer is responsible to assist with the safe and efficient operation of the thermal energy system, the electrified filter beds, and the strand dryer system, while maintaining the mill environmental compliance on a day-to-day basis. Working with Team Members to reinforce and support safety for everyone at West Fraser Grande Prairie. Actively support the Chief Power Engineer through the process cycle of Capital & Maintenance Projects – from inception to commissioning to evaluation. Demonstrate leadership ownership and accountability to the planning, scheduling and execution of various projects, work orders and day-to-day activities. This position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs and will include process duties and administrative duties. Solid computer skills (minimum Office Suite).
