Established in 1990, WH is a employee owned company that provides services in the area of archaeology (including geophysics), GIS and Imagery Interpretation, UAV surveys using Lidar and optical surveys, and software development, including our Environmental Footprint Monitoring system. Quality Management and Safety are important parts of the WH brand. The ideal candidate would be able to fully integrate into this programs.

Anthropologists are finding that women in modern foraging societies have played a major role in catching game.

It's always important to make some time for fun while working out of town! When we're not digging holes, we're working on our putting game ⛳️

During our fieldwork, we take the opportunity to document any exposures we may come across. In this example, the team made use of an old aggregate test pit to record the stratigraphy of the landform they were surveying. With the section all cleaned up and looking fresh, we can gain a better understanding of depositional processes as well as demonstrate that we are assessing to the depth of the sediments that have the highest potential to contain artifacts in our shovel tests. We can therefore eliminate any uncertainty in our regulatory reviews and provide cost savings to our clients by receiving our regulatory approvals faster. A win win for everyone!

Had a great time hosting summer students from Canfor Grande Prairie! We teamed up to complete an archaeological assessment and got the opportunity to showcase daily life as an archaeologist. We were also lucky enough to learn a little bit more about the many different roles within Canfor's forestry operations. It was fantastic to work with everyone and we can't wait to do it again!
