Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Coordinator

We are seeking an Account Receivable and Customer Credit Analyst for our team in the Markham Offices . As a member of the Finance Team your duties will include all duties and responsibilities which are reasonably associated with your position, and which include but are not limited to:

The person in this role will work to effectively manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. The person in this role will be required to maintain clear communication and relationships with our customers and vendors.

What You'll Do:

  • Review and release customer sales orders for credit worthiness. This includes processing customer credit cards and reviewing payment history and account balances.
  • Posting invoices on client portals and managing portal registrations
  • Work with the Sales Team and customers to open customer accounts on terms. Using OCR's Customer Account Opening forms and Dun & Bradstreet reporting, complete thorough reference, and background check prior to submitting application for approval.
  • Contacting customer for payment on terms
  • Posting and reconciling customer payments via cheque, wire, credit card or EFT
  • Working with the returns department to issue customer credit memo's/refunds.
  • Responding to customer and staff inquiries via phone and email.
  • Reconciling customer payments and statements.
  • Perform general office duties including filing and upkeep of systems, faxing, and photocopying.

What You'll Need:

  • 1-2 years minimum experience in Accounts Payable and Receivables
  • Experience in issuing credit limits, reviewing credit reports and credit scoring
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skill
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook

Education:

  • OSSD High School Diploma required AND
  • A trade/vocational certificate or Community College Diploma in Administration, Accounting, or computer operations required

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Organized, efficient, solid communicator in both verbal and written English
  • French is an asset
  • Ability to independently manage the day and prioritize tasks
