Our valued client, a key Oil & Gas midstream client are seeking a Project Engineer (Development) to join their team on a long-term contract basis.

Summary of Responsibilities

• The position is focused on working within an integrated team responsible for advancing development opportunities from initial concept through to

FEED/Detailed Design phases and delivering execution-ready projects;

• The interdisciplinary team will be supporting ongoing planning and cost/schedule estimating for the overall execution of pipeline infrastructure

projects ranging from existing and new LVP/HVP/gas pipelines, new or upgrades to pump/compressor stations, to metering/LACT facilities;

• Overseeing multiple project scopes will include the supervision of Third Party engineering firms, construction specialists, civil survey contractors, and

coordination of project delivery through the respective Stage Gates of Governance Lifecycle;

• Coordinate with other internal teams to identify and outline all applicable regulatory, land, Indigenous, and environmental applications related to the

proposed construction of pipelines and related facilities

Qualifications

• A Professional Engineer (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil) or equivalent professionalstatus;

• A minimum of 7 years relevant engineering/project management experience,including pipeline and supporting infrastructure design, cost estimating, schedule

development, and technical writing;

Field experience including pipeline and facility construction and facility operations is an asset;

• Must be familiar with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 design requirements for pipelines and infrastructure facilities as well as other applicable regulatory

agency guidelines and policies;

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);

• Non-authoritative leadership skills with the ability to influence effectively;

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the proven ability to deliver

messaging suitable for senior management and multi-discipline teams;

• Strong attention to detail and are a self-starter with a continuous improvement

mindset;

• Driven, results-oriented individual who naturally takes responsibility for setting the standard and achieving results within a continuously changing environment;

• An analytical and problem-solving mindset with strong business insight and an understanding of how to recognize opportunities for value creation; and

• Based in our Calgary Office, you will be required to travel periodically to the project area.
