Engineering Technologist

- Proficient in Solidworks - PDM (CAD would be an asset)
- Library drawings, work instructions & associated files related to engineering activities
- Create and execute test plans for cyclical and destructive testing
- Interpret engineering specifications or drawings
- Explain engineering drawings, specifications, or other technical information
- Assist engineers to design, develop, test, or manufacture medical equipment, or other equipment
- Test products for functionality or quality
- Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment
- Design specialized or customized equipment, machines, or structures
- Prepare specifications, designs, or sketches for medical equipment, components, or systems related to the generation, transmission, or use of medical equipment
- Create graphical representations of mechanical equipment
- Document technical design details
- Provide technical support to other employees regarding mechanical design, fabrication, testing, or documentation
- Provide technical guidance to other personnel
- Inspect and test equipment
- Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment
- Conduct failure analyses, document results, and recommend corrective actions
- Conduct quantitative failure analyses of operational data
- Document design or operational test results
- Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
- Assemble or disassemble complex mechanical systems
- Assemble equipment or components
- Prepare cost and materials estimates or project schedules
- Estimate operational costs
- Assist mechanical engineers in product testing through activities such as setting up instrumentation for medical equipment testing
- Assist engineers with research
- Test machines, components, materials, or products to determine characteristics such as performance, strength, or response to stress
- Test characteristics of materials or structures
- Monitor the productivity or efficiency of industrial operations
- Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment
- Analyze or estimate production costs, such as labor, equipment, or plant space
- Analyze costs and benefits of proposed designs or projects
