We are seeking a dedicated and experienced private household housekeeper to manage the daily cleaning and maintenance of a private residence located in the prestigious Rosedale area of Toronto. Summary

As a Full-Time Housekeeper for this private residence, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and order of the home, ensuring a comfortable and welcoming environment for the family and guests. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, efficient, and versatile enough to be capable of managing a variety of household tasks independently, including meal preparation for lunches and dinners.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and the upkeep of all rooms and common areas.
• Manage laundry duties, including washing, ironing, and organizing clothing and linens.
• Assist with the organization of the home, including closets, pantries, and storage areas.
• Handle kitchen duties, such as dishwashing, cleaning appliances, organizing cupboards, and notably, preparing meals for lunches and dinners according to the principals' preferences and dietary requirements.
• Oversee the care of household plants and the maintenance of outdoor living spaces and flowerbeds.
• Coordinate with the principals the scheduling and on-site supervision of any necessary external services (e.g., landscaping, electrician).
• Report any issues or repairs needed within the household to the principals.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a housekeeper in private residences or similar settings.
• Fluent in English or Spanish with basic English.
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques and products.
• Ability to work efficiently without direct supervision.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to adjust to the changing needs and schedules of the household.
• Respect for privacy and discretion is paramount.
• Competency in, or interest in learning to, preparing healthy and varied meals for lunches and dinners.

Work Hours & Benefits

• Full-time position requires work 5 days a week, with flexibility needed for occasional extra days or events.
