Working in close relationship with the Vice-President of Production, the Live Event Crew Director ensures the delivery of our immersive live experiences in a timely, efficient and professional way. Accordingly, he guides and leads the Crew to develop a highly competent and efficient group of dedicated Lighting programmers, Pixel Managers and Event Technicians.

The main responsibilities for this position are the following:

Guide, lead and oversee the Production Crew (Lighting Programmers, Pixel Managers, and Event Technicians)

Ensure efficient operation and performance to foster excellence in delivering our immersive experiences.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members to foster professional growth and development.

Participate actively in developing and optimizing the delivery processes for the Production Vice-Presidency.

Propose and implement appropriate systems and contracts

Develop and maintain a network of freelance staff worldwide.

Collaborate with the Live Event Director to do resource assignations to events

Develop & maintain the availability & dispatch system.

Develop and put in place a process for evaluating the Crew to ensure performance standards are met and to provide feedback for improvement.

Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment, promoting open communication and teamwork.

Coordinate with other departments to facilitate seamless event execution and ensure client satisfaction.

Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment during events for our Crew.

Conduct quality checks to ensure equipment performance meets standards and addresses any deficiencies.

Conduct post-event debriefs with the team to review performance and identify areas for improvement.

Implement feedback and recommendations to enhance processes and deliver better outcomes for future events.

Competencies and requirements for this position:

College Degree in related fields

Strong leadership and management skills, with 8 to 10 years years years of experience in leading teams in fast-paced environments, and in different timezones

5 to 8 years of previous experience in live event production, Lighting technology, or a related field

Experience in process optimization and developing efficient practices

Technical certifications or training in live event production are a plus

A basic understanding of MA2 or MA3 consoles and other industry-standard equipment and software are a plus

Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to thrive under pressure

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and knowledge of functional French

Availability to travel up to 20% of the time. Position based at Montreal's Headquarters.
