Tasks:

1. Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
2. Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
3. Order parts and maintain inventory
4. Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
5. Keep maintenance reports and documentation
6. Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
7. Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
8. Perform repair work on heavy trucks
9. Service attachments and working tools
10. Perform other routine maintenance

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses:

Fall Arrest Protection Training Course, First Aid Certificate, Diesel engine repair specialization, Fuel injection system, Lubrication system, Engine control system, Major internal engine repairs or overhaul, Installation and alignment of engines and machinery, Powered equipment repair specialization, Hydraulic-operated working attachments, Compressors, Pumps, Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts, Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization, Hydraulic transmissions, Tracked vehicle suspensions and steering, Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering, Off-road vehicle tires and wheels, Brake system
