About the role
We're looking for a Treasury Specialist to join our growing team!
What you'll do here:
- Assist in managing exposure to market risk factors.
- Support acquisitions, maintain financing scenarios and support the financing process, participate in due diligence, develop decision-making tools.
- Develop and maintain different valuation models used in the treasury.
- Support the annual credit ratings management process.
- Benchmarking, industry monitoring and investor presentations.
- Contribute to updating and continuous improvement of the Treasury team's dashboards and communications.
- Provide senior management with insights on capital markets and treasury by performing your own research and/or providing reports, analysis and your opinion on various subjects.
- Produce analyses and presentations for management on various strategic projects in corporate finance.
What you bring to the table:
- 5 to 7 years' relevant experience in a financial analysis or financial/economic strategy role
- Master's Degree in Finance, Economics, or in a related field with relevant experience (e.g., Mathematics, Physics, Accounting)
- Related professional designation is an asset
- Solid experience in valuation and financial modelling
- In-depth understanding of the acquisition process
- Understanding of treasury functions as well as capital markets
- Experience and knowledge of financing and hedging instruments and strategies
- High degree of maturity and professionalism
- Initiative, precision, ability to work independently, engagement
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel (including VBA).
- Superior oral and written communications skills
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
