What you'll be doing

The Director of ECRM Planning & Governance will be a key leader in developing the overall strategy and ongoing roadmap for the Canadian banking ECRM Salesforce ecosystem that enables us to deliver on our vision, mandate and goals in support of our Canadian Banking Strategy and that supports our key KPIs. Relationships with your stakeholders and delivery partners are paramount to success as this individual will play an important role in interacting and further cultivating relationships with key partners.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You'll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you'll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.

How you'll succeed

  • Strategic Design & Planning – Develop and maintain a comprehensive multi-year strategy and roadmap (current + 18 months) for the ECRM Salesforce ecosystem that enables us to deliver on our vision, mandate and goals in support of Canadian Banking Strategic objectives across all lines of business, user groups and channels.. The strategy will include multiple components including competitive and internal analysis, new emerging industry trends, new and evolving Salesforce capabilities, client needs and regulatory changes, as well as prioritization of investments and establishment of KPIs. providing.. Innovation, Client Focus - Stay up to date on latest innovations and challenge the status quo while bringing a client focus on clients and users

  • Salesforce – You have intimate knowledge of Salesforce product suite and the capabilities that exist. You have experience either using the platform as a user or in a support role.

  • Team Player and Leadership – Act both collaboratively and autonomously. You will contribute to the creation of the Salesforce strategy, methodology and operating model and will support the ECRM Enablement leadership team with annual planning by providing insights, recommendations and strategic direction based on Salesforce capabilities and CIBC's business needs.

  • Business Acumen and Relationship Building - Forge strong relationships with CIBC's various teams, by working with the business and internal partners, owning the planning and communication of new and enhanced capabilities, with a strong understanding of the user needs and experiences across channels.

  • Communication – You are a story-teller, with the ability to delve into ambiguous business problems and/or desired outcomes to provide recommendations on future or expanded roadmap capabilities. You can package key messages for senior executives. You have a proven ability to partner, build confidence and influence multiple stakeholders at all levels across the organization. You're a self-starter, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and develop processes and governance from the ground up.

  • You demonstrate experience. 4+ years related strategy and/or Salesforce experience . Expert level of understanding of strategy and planning methodologies and practices

  • You have well developed leadership capabilities. You are passionate about people, find meaning in relationships and can build trust through respect and authenticity. Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and articulate their needs
