Reporting to the General Manager, the Service Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support to the branch. This is a full time position From Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance of all Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations, as well as the Company's Health and Safety Policy.
  • Provide overall leadership, motivation, development, and supervision for all service department employees at the location.
  • Focus and achieve a high level of customer service at the location, leading to a high level of measured customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in setting monthly and annual service volume forecasts for the location and lead the department with goal to consistently improve profitability.
  • Schedule work hours to ensure efficient operation of the service department as per current operating hours.
  • Manage and determine the training program for technicians and service advisors to ensure proper levels of proficiency are maintained.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Ensure that all reporting employees adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Implement, execute, and monitor the Company's policies, procedures, and strategy.
  • Promote and develop positive corporate culture both internally and externally.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College or post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Five years combined experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive or related industry experience preferred.
  • Licensed Truck and Coach Technician (310T) or Licensed Automotive Technician (310S) certification is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; outgoing, positive thinker and self-motivated.
  • Sound decision making, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Competency in the following areas required; customer service, administrative skills, team building, proficiency with software and computers - SAP experience is an asset.
  • Criminal Record Check.
  • Valid driver's license and Drivers Abstract.
