Our client is on the lookout for an Underwriting Associate. This pivotal role involves processing submissions, policy changes, risk evaluation support, data and document management, among other responsibilities.

Who Are You? You're adaptable, eager to collaborate, and thrive in a fast-moving environment. You bring to the table meticulous attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, and a proactive work ethic. With at least 2 years of experience in an underwriting support role within commercial segments and products, you're keen on learning and advancing in the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Entry notices and Processing: You'll ensure accurate data input into the underwriting system, process insurance submissions, endorsements, renewals, and claims notices and verify document accuracy.
  • Risk Assessment: Support underwriters by evaluating risks, gathering relevant data, conducting preliminary assessments and providing recommendations.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Maintain clear, prompt, and professional communication with brokers and MGAs and collaborate with internal teams to address concerns.
  • Policy Documentation & Administration: Prepare endorsement details, assist with bordereaux processing and contribute to reports and presentations.
  • Administrative Support: Keep underwriting and claims files organized and assist with special projects and tasks as needed.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 2+ years in an underwriting support role, preferably in Commercial Property Casualty.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Office.
  • A high degree of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.
  • The ability to deliver quality results timely, with flexibility, adaptability, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in risk management tools preferred.
