THE ROLE
Trimac Transportation is a leading provider of bulk trucking services, delivering innovative logistics solutions to customers across North America. As we continue our journey to modernize our data landscape, we are seeking a skilled Intermediate Business Intelligence Developer to join our dynamic Data Architecture team. At Trimac, we prioritize leveraging cloud technologies to deliver quality, timely data in an agile fashion, empowering our teams to make informed decisions.

As an Intermediate Business Intelligence Developer at Trimac Transportation, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing data models, ETL and integration services, reporting semantic layers, and data quality solutions. You will be responsible for supporting existing solutions while contributing to our ongoing efforts to modernize our data infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop Data Models, ETL and Integration services, and reporting semantic layers.

• Implement data quality solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.

• Support existing solutions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

• Contribute to the modernization of Trimac's data landscape by leveraging cloud technologies.

• Participation in the full system development lifecycle (SDLC) to deliver key strategic initiatives.

• Support projects to drive business performance improvement through operations and at the corporate level.

• Document technical design and test plans in alignment with deliverables.

• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in Business Intelligence and data analytics.

SKILLS

• Proficiency in PowerBI, SQL Server, SSIS, and AWS.

• Experience building and working with AWS serverless and data services (S3, SQS, Lambda, SNS, etc.). Experience with AWS Code Deploy, Pipeline, Build is a plus.

• Experience with SSAS, SSRS, and Snowflake preferred.

• Strong proficiency in SQL/T-SQL, Python, with familiarity in JavaScript.

• Experience with MS Office Suite, JIRA, and Code Repository (GIT) productivity tools.

• Familiarity with ETL workflow design and Data Warehouse Modeling (STAR, Data Vault Schema).

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence development.
