Position: Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Toronto
QMS has a requirement for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with their well-known Utilities client downtown. Your role involves handling customer inquiries, preparing financial statements, treasury reports, and cost analysis.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and analyze capital, operating, and maintenance costs.
- Process payments for invoices related to goods and services.
- Prepare various accounting reports and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
- Validate and obtain documents for accurate data management.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations with close coordination among bank, finance, and treasury teams.
- Execute journal entries in compliance with auditing standards, including trial balances and other financial documentation.
Requirements:
- University degree or a three-year College diploma in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
- At least two years of experience in financial or accounts receivable operations (experience in customer-centric environments preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Financial background (understanding the full AR cycle).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Prior experience using SAP is helpful.
- Ability to engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with various accounting software and accounts receivable in regulated industries is advantageous.
