We're looking for our next Institutional Sales Specialist. Could it Be You?

The purpose of the Institutional Sales Specialist is to liaise with and assist our Institutional Sales Partners in an effort to onboard new clients and support existing clients referred by them.

What's it like working as the Institutional Sales Specialist at Questrade?

The Institutional Sales Specialist will provide support to our Institutional Sales Partners - Precious Metals Dealers and Exempt Market Product Issuers to help onboard their clients to Questrade. The Specialist will also liaise internally with Finance, Compliance, Back Office and Trade Desk for any other related tasks such as precious metal purchases, withdrawals, redemptions among others. The Institutional Sales Specialist is responsible for performing both inbound and outbound communications using multiple channels, such as phone and email.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinating with Institutional Partners/Dealers to onboard new clients
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients referred through Precious Metal Dealers and Exempt Market Product Issuers
  • Assisting Precious Metal Dealers/ Issuers and their referred clients with the account opening and funding process
  • Liaising with Finance, Compliance, Back Office for trade settlements and processing withdrawals
  • Working with Back Office to complete new accounts and account transfers
  • Making outbound calls to clients to assist them with their precious metals and exempt market product-related queries and other account related inquiries
  • Ensuring the completion of client onboarding documentation
  • Becoming an SME on account opening, Precious Metals and Private Products
  • Participating in regular Sales department meetings
  • Assisting clients with deposits and withdrawals
  • Liaising with third party vendors to process metal deliveries
  • Working with back office teams to onboard new funds
  • Coordinating with back office teams on purchases and redemptions of Exempt Market Products
  • Reviewing precious metals trades
  • Working with issuers and back office on DRIP deposits and distributions

  • Are a College or University graduate or equivalent, preferably in Business, Finance, or Economics
  • Have 1+ years of industry experience, preferably in Sales, Customer Service, Back / Middle Office
  • Have experience using G-Suite, especially Sheets
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have a positive attitude and strong client orientation
  • Have strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
  • Have high level of attention to detail
  • Are curious to learn and understand the why and the how
  • Are able to collaborate effectively as a team player
