In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible to build, lead, and manage a team of software professionals, including Principal Engineers, SW. Architects, Software Engineers, Associate Engineers, as well as Scrum Masters. They will organize and lead scrum team events (with the help of the Scrum Master), foster a collaborative and motivated work environment, and enable and support data-driven decision-making. This is a highly technical role, focused on using embedded SW development experience to successfully manage this team. Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team members, ensuring that best SW development practices are followed, and technical challenges are effectively addressed. Develop and present SW development status reports, highlighting accomplishments, challenges, and risks. Strategize and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful SW development outcomes. Drive SW automation initiatives and champion quality assurance practices to enhance software development processes and product reliability. Organize team-building events, workshops, and knowledge-sharing sessions to foster team cohesion and professional growth. Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of management experience in a software development environment, preferably with embedded software focus. Strong background in embedded software development and proficiency in Agile methodologies. Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful software development teams. Technical expertise in software engineering practices, including design, development, and testing. Familiarity with automation practices and quality assurance methods. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency in working with both public and private cloud environments. Familiarity with setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines. They will be responsible for talent acquisition, fostering a constructive work atmosphere, and leveraging their extensive expertise to inform recommendations and decisions. Working conditions are generally comfortable typical of an office environment. international travel is required.
