As a Protection and Control (P&C) Engineer or Engineer-In-Training (EIT), you will be able to participate in the design of high-level diagrams, the development of the protection philosophy and contribute to large-scale electrical energy projects. You will evolve in a multidisciplinary environment and develop skills by collaborating with experienced professionals, particularly on substation, hydroelectric power stations and renewable energy projects with numerous clients across Canada. Design Control and Protection systems with 2D software (AutoCAD) Prepare project deliverables, including detail drawings, electrical diagrams, layouts, equipment sizing, etc. Collaborate with members of the engineering team as well as project managers from other disciplines Participate in the development of electrical Command and Protection systems, including single-line diagrams, logic diagrams, three-line AC diagrams, protection and c.c. control diagrams, wiring drawings, device connection drawings, assembly plans, material lists and quotes for the manufacturing and installation on site of Control and Protection panels Participate in site surveys (stations and power stations) Coordinate with engineering disciplines: equipment, civil, mechanical and building in order to develop design solutions for optimized and advanced substation and power plant systems Possibility of carrying out site work sporadically when the opportunity arises (start-up or monitoring) University Degree in Electrical engineering Registered (or eligible to register as) member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan (APEGS) or that of a recognized Professional Engineering Association in Canada Knowledge of protection and control principles and philosophies is an asset Work experience in the design of electrical systems is an asset Experience in detailed P&C design with major and/or local utilities in Canada, an asset Experience using AutoCAD software is an asset Fluent in English (oral and written) Basic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) That is why we are committed to ensuring equal access to resources and opportunities for candidates, regardless of their identity (race, ethnicity, colour, religion, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, socio-economic status or background, etc.).
