Your Role and Responsibilities

Join our dynamic team of talented professionals in IBM Cloud Core Platform Services, where we develop and deploy innovative, industry-leading cloud-based services. As an experienced AI and cloud Software Engineer, you will be integral in designing, developing, and deploying AI-based cloud services, automating tasks, and solving complex problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI capabilities in IBM Cloud-based applications, contributing to cutting-edge solutions.
• Be deeply involved in coding and ensure the highest quality of deliverables.
• Work within an agile environment, ensuring continuous delivery of value.
• Define development aspects, including technology selection, workflow, and coding standards.
• Collaborate with peers to determine functional and non-functional requirements.
• Participate in technical reviews to ensure the quality and consistency of deliverables.
• Embrace continuous learning and apply new technologies to maintain IBM's technical leadership position.
• Mentor the next generation of cloud engineers, contributing to a culture of growth and innovation.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 7-12 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer with a focus on AI projects.
• Proficiency in AI and machine learning frameworks such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
• Experience with AI model deployment and integration.
• Strong backend technology understanding, including server-side languages (Node.js, Python, Java) and databases (Cassandra, PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Java/J2EE, Kafka, and GitHub.
• Expertise in Cloud Technologies, Kubernetes-based microservices architecture, Kafka, Object Storage, Cassandra database, and container technologies.
• I have hands-on development experience with Java, Spring, Liberty, Node.js, Express.js, Golang, NoSQL DB, Redis, distributed caches, and containers.
• Experience in building and operating highly secured, distributed cloud services using IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure, SRE, CI/CD, Docker, Container orchestration, and performance testing.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as REST, JSON, HTML, Ajax, and JavaScript.
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and modern cloud programming practices.
• Strong communication and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with messaging brokers like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Operating Systems knowledge (Red Hat, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP and
• Working knowledge of version control systems like GitHub and build tools like Maven/Gradle.
• UI test automation skills with Selenium and/or Puppeteer.
• Strong sense of ownership and a passion for innovation.
