We work with proactive clients who understand the importance of having exceptional staff. Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find a Senior Estimator. The ideal candidate will have a strong working knowledge of construction methods, processes, and management practices; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be organized, efficient and responsive to the needs of internal and external alike.

Responsibilities:

1. Generate and manage estimates required for sales, pre-construction, and bidding efforts
2. Perform material and quantity takeoffs, sourcing material and subcontractor quotes
3. Provide estimates, budget control and studies for projects and potential projects during business development, pre-construction, and construction phases of a project and across all scopes, systems, and assemblies
4. Ability to complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates for all disciplines, including commercial and mid-rise wood-frame multi-family construction projects together with below-grade parkade, but not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, and landscaping disciplines
5. Lead the sub-contractor procurement process

Requirements:

• 5+ years' experience working in commercial and multi-family mid-rise wood-frame residential construction projects, including below-grade parkade
• Minimum 3 years estimating experience for commercial/residential construction in a fast-paced environment
• BS degree in civil engineering or construction management
• Proficiency in estimating software, Bluebeam, and MS Project
• Excellent knowledge of the Alberta Building Codes

Additional Requirements:

• 3+ years of demonstrated project management experience in high-end residential construction
• Thorough knowledge of the building trades including millwork and renovation
• Ability to develop relationships with customers, designers and subcontractors
• Leadership skills to meet exacting standards of quality and customer satisfaction while bringing projects in on time and at budget
