Job Type:Full-time Schedule: Monday to Friday between 7:30 – 5:30 (weekends as needed)

Salary:$65,000-$85,000 per year

Education:bachelor's Degree, master's degree in human services or a related discipline. (e.g., Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, Education) (preferred). Certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is considered an asset.

Experience:primary care/educationcommunity-based setting: Minimum of 5 - 7 years of related experience in a supervisory/management capacity, staff training initiatives, including experience coordinating, scheduling, and supporting organizational activities and projects is considered an asset.

Full job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to join our team. As a Clinical Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and providing guidance to our team of instructor therapists. This is a vital role to ensure the delivery of high-quality programming and maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Criteria of Role

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a clinical / education setting.
  • Awareness of the developmental services and education sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of autism spectrum disorder and evidence-based treatment models and approaches (e.g., Applied Verbal Behaviour, Discrete Trial Teaching, Natural Environment Teaching, Natural Language Paradigm, Group Instruction).
  • Experience administering curriculum-based assessments, preference assessments, functional assessments and analyses.
  • Experience designing high-quality individualized behavioral intervention programs.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations, standards, best practices, Ontario Autism Program (OAP) service planning and service plan budgets.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage people, including mentoring, coaching, training, and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Oversee cases via our center-based and online ABA services.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
  • Collaboration skills with other clinical core specialists.
  • Competency and effective use of database systems.
  • Nurture and cultivate relationships with customers.
  • Knowledge on all related legislative requirements such as the Employment Standards Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, Services and Supports to Promote the Social Inclusion of Persons with Developmental Disabilities Act, etc.

Responsibilities:

Clinical Monitoring

  • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to a team of instructor therapists in coordination with Clinical supervisor and Directors.
  • Collaborate with all clinical and administrative staff within the team and ensure seamless operations.
  • Participate in the admission, transition, and discharge of clients, providing support to families within centre-based programs.
  • Conduct parent meetings and regularly provide updates on treatment goals and strategies.
  • Develops and recommends strategic goals for the program(s), analyzing and balancing the needs of key stakeholders, market/funding opportunities, overall organizational strategic goals, and other relevant factors.
  • Problem solves program concerns or issues with consideration for the needs and objectives of all key stakeholders when developing resolutions.

Staffing, Training, and Development

  • Train staff on the implementation of teaching programs and behavior intervention plans, as well as on concepts related to ABA and the delivery of ABA.
  • Deliver ABA workshops and clinics for parents/caregivers (e.g. toileting clinic) and provide coaching as necessary.
  • Encourage a strong team-based culture within staff groups through the establishment of team norms, goal planning, regularly planned meetings, effective communication strategies, and utilizing conflict resolution skills as needed.

Performance Management

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, providing timely feedback on their performance, and conducting team meetings, supervision meetings, and performance appraisals.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coaches and mentor instructors proactively; share and leverage knowledge of the sector and the individuals served; they inspire team members to find creative ways to overcome obstacles and strive for continuous improvement.

Program Administration

  • Administer curriculum-based, preference, functional, and other ABA assessments and analyses.
  • Design teaching programs and behavior intervention plans for clients, monitoring and adjusting them as needed to ensure optimum treatment.
  • Summarize and interpret ABA session data. Complete and maintain clinical records according to standards.
  • Participate in clinical case review meetings and complete client progress reports as required.
  • Maintains appropriate schedules for each area of responsibility based on support needs; adjusts schedules as required by changing circumstances, filling in for staffing gaps as needed.
  • Completes ongoing internal administrative tasks, including reviewing and approving therapy time sheets and aligning with customer service plans.
