Growing in an ever-changing industry in Calgary and Alberta. We are looking for a Senior Architectural Technologist and Design Manager to join the team on a full-time basis. As a company that was founded on the foundation of construction and process, we require an individual who has a proven track record of residential renovations & custom home design from concept to completion.

You must be able to work directly with and build on customer relationships providing excellent customer service, creative solutions, and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in client meetings both in office and onsite to understand client requirements.
• Work directly with clients to understand their needs.
• Execute using creative out of the box solutions that separate us from our competitors.
• Work with design team to envision and produce custom home designs for our clients based off established budget and Melanson specifications.
• Reproduce floorplans from detailed site measure.
• Work with AHJ to apply for and obtain development & building permits.
• Schedule & attend all review meetings making changes as required.
• Work with design & project management to build specific project scope of work
• Articulate entire design through working drawings.
• Ensure that all information is ready to be passed to project management team.
• Attend construction plan review meetings with field team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

• Well versed in Microsoft 365 suite of products.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Proficient in Revit & Enscape.
• 5+ years' experience in residential design.
• Post-Secondary Degree would be considered an asset.
• Capacity to work well with a team and clients.
• Able to work independently and be accountable with deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High creative ability - able to think outside the box.
• Extremely detail-orientated and organized.
• Excellent computer skills - proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with SketchUp and InDesign is an asset.
• Experience with Microvellum is an asset.
• Must be able to travel.
• Class 5 Driver's License.
• Must speak fluent English.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on experience, compensation package includes cell phone, group benefits reimbursed continued education

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
