The Opportunity: The Intensive Youth Social Worker is responsible for providing meaningful and outcome-focused clinical services within the context of a youth's lifestyle and family environment, thereby promoting safety, holistic wellness and stability for the young person Provides one-on-one, strength-based holistic and culturally relevant services to children and youth on assigned caseload. Conducts a needs-based assessment with the guardian and care team. Supports cultural planning and learning and facilitates healthy relations and contact with family and community. Knowledge of Child, Family and Community Services Act (specifically Section 70 – rights of children in care), Adoption Act, Family Relations Act, Mental Health Act, Youth Criminal Justice Act and BC Benefits Act pertaining to youth services and related MCFD policies and procedures. Minimum two (2) years' experience working in a social service setting Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Child and Youth Care or related field Prince George sits on the traditional lands of the Lheidli T'enneh First Nation and is the largest city in northern B.C.
