Job Description

Mission

CIMA + is looking for an Eco-Engineer Project Manager to complement its multidisciplinary team in engineering, environment and earth sciences. The successful candidate will act as an eco-engineering Project Manager on a variety of environment-related projects, such as bank stabilization, stormwater management, fish habitat development, hydrological and hydraulic studies, developments involving phytotechnology, etc.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare and monitor the various stages, budgets and activities involved in obtaining and carrying out projects
  • Supervise professionals and technicians in projects
  • Carry out bank and slope stabilization and watercourse development projects
  • Design and research solutions and perform the necessary calculations
  • Produce deliverables (technical reports and notices, applications for certificates of authorization, drawings, specifications, etc.)
  • Supervise calls for tenders, provide office supervision for engineering projects, attend site meetings, etc
  • Maintain good relations with clients and various stakeholders involved in projects

Qualifications

  • Title of engineer in good standing with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
  • Training in water, agri-environmental or civil engineering or an equivalent
  • Strong interest in ecological engineering and multidisciplinary teamwork
  • Have 5 years or more of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of cartography and GIS and AutoCAD computer-aided drawing (an asset)
  • Knowledge of hydraulic modeling software, HEC-RAS or PCSWMM (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, policies and guides
  • Good command of spoken and written French
  • Certificate of training in construction site safety (ASP Construction card)
  • Valid driver's license (class 5)
