Shakespeare in the Ruins (SIR) is in search of a new or experienced CPA to join our diverse and passionate volunteer Board. If you love theatre (especially theatre that puts a modern, diverse, and socially conscious twist on classical theatre), we would love to connect with you. In 2024, SIR is celebrating its 30th year; it is a Winnipeg-based professional theatre company committed to exploring the original works of Shakespeare along with new Shakespeare-adjacent works that challenge and build upon the original plays. Our core team runs two productions each summer (approximately 40 performances) and operates a number of community-based initiatives throughout the calendar year – including programming in schools and at Stony Mountain Penitentiary. We strive to be the most accessible theatre company in Manitoba and are deeply committed to embedding principles of diversity and reconciliation into all aspects of our work.
