What The Role Looks Like

As the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth, managing the sales team, identifying new market opportunities, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.

A day in the life of this position includes

  • Hiring, training, coaching, and overseeing the day-to-day activities of a top-notch sales team consisting of Sales Development Representatives, Business Development Representatives and Account Executives.
  • Equipping the sales team with B2B SaaS sales best practices, tools and tactics.
  • Building and fostering a high performing sales culture focused on collaboration, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, pipeline management and deal closures.
  • Building and implementing scalable and repeatable sales processes and playbooks to guide the team and drive revenue.
  • Developing and maintaining sales forecasts and reports, tracking, and analyzing sales metrics and presenting to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Establishing KPI's for the Sales team and providing them with performance coaching, leadership and tools required to achieve them.
  • Identifying new market opportunities, analyzing competitive landscapes, and adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Acting as a key member of the go-to-market team to formulate and deliver business development and lead generation programs.
  • Leveraging technology by identifying appropriate tools to improve processes and enhance productivity within the sales team.
  • Participating in sales meetings as needed to help push deals through and develop relationships with Enterprise clients.

Who We're Looking For

You are a dynamic and experienced sales leader with a passion for driving revenue growth and building high-performing teams. You have exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of B2B SaaS sales (bonus points for FinTech), and a proven record of success in scaling sales operations of a start-up sales team from $10M up to $30M ARR and beyond. You're a Mr. Make It Repeatable or Ms. Go Big (from Jason Lemkin's famous blog), which means you have experience building out and implementing repeatable SaaS sales processes and playbooks using best practices learned throughout your 10+ year career in SaaS sales.

What We're Looking For

  • 10+ years progressive experience in B2B SaaS Sales, with a focus on driving revenue and scaling sales operations.
  • 5+ years in a sales leadership role, establishing processes and execution in B2B SaaS Sales.
  • 3+ years providing performance coaching in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in sales strategy, methodology, strategic planning, and execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed decision making.
  • Experience with CRM and sales enablement tools.
  • Strong experience selling to all market levels with a focus on Enterprise.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • A self-starter driven by success with attention to detail.
  • Critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving skills and the humility to question your own assumptions.
