PR & Social Media Specialist Overview:

Our retail client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract PR and Social Media Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate must take on media content creation and community management, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to think creatively to promote the brand and engage with the target audience.

PR & Social Media Specialist Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies to enhance brand reputation and increase visibility across various media channels

Plan, organize, and coordinate press releases, media interviews, and other PR events

Build and maintain strong relationships with media contacts, influencers, and industry professionals

Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on PR performance and brand sentiment

Create engaging and compelling content for social media platforms

Develop and implement social media campaigns to drive brand awareness and increase followers

Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure social media content aligns with overall marketing objectives and brand guidelines

Analyze social media data and metrics to identify trends and insights and optimize future campaigns

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in PR and social media management

PR & Social Media Specialist Requirements:

3+ years of experience in PR and social media management in the retail/e-commerce industry

Agency experience an asset

Proven track record of successful PR campaigns and social media management

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content and adapt writing style for different platforms

Proficient in using social media management tools and analytics platforms

Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is a plus
