Job Description

The Logistics Coordinator oversees and enhances logistics and delivery operations to ensure their efficiency and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Analyze and improve transportation processes
  2. Manage the transportation team
  3. Implement and monitor profitability tools
  4. Ensure punctual and quality deliveries
  5. Manage equipment purchases and negotiate with suppliers
  6. Comply with import/export regulations
  7. Adopt new technologies for better tracking and planning
  8. Supervise the transportation department staff
  9. Facilitate training on new systems
  10. Ensure trucks are tracked and deliveries are monitored
  11. Coordinate with other departments for smooth operations
  12. Maintain high-quality deliveries and optimize resource utilization
  13. Prepare various analyses and reports as needed
Qualifications

Proven experience in logistics and transportation management, with a strong background in implementing efficiency and profitability strategies. Ability to design and manage profitability tools, and a keen sense of strategic equipment purchasing. Strong negotiation skills to deal with logistics suppliers. Knowledge of import/export regulations and transportation policies. Experience with modern tracking, monitoring, and planning technologies. Good leadership level, with experience supervising teams. Teamwork and collaboration. Ability to make strategic decisions in the absence of department heads and to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Familiarity with delivery management tools like DataNova and Signaflex is an asset.
