Position Summary

A recruiter is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who is passionate about making a difference and is skilled at financial strategy, management, and organizational leadership. The CFO will play a critical role in shaping our financial future while also overseeing the legal and procurement departments. This position reports directly to the CEO and is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Leadership: Serve as a key member of the executive team to develop and implement strategies across the organization. Align financial strategy with long-term business goals. Oversee the strategic direction of the legal and procurement departments.
  2. Financial Planning: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support decision-making processes. Provide strategic recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
  3. Risk Management: Identify and manage business risks and ensure compliance with financial and legal regulations. Develop and oversee comprehensive risk management policies.
  4. Operational Control: Oversee the accounting, investor relations, legal, procurement, and tax functions. Ensure accurate reporting and data integrity. Implement and maintain high standards of financial and operational control across different regions.
  5. Capital Structure Management: Manage the company's financial structure, including debts, investments, and equity financing, while exploring new avenues for growth and sustainability.
  6. Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with investors, banks, legal counsel, suppliers, and external partners. Represent the company with investment bankers and investors.
  7. Team Leadership and Development: Lead the finance, legal, and procurement teams, set comprehensive goals for performance, and enhance their professional development through mentoring and coaching.

Required Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or CPA is highly preferred.
  2. Experience in startup environments, particularly with Series B or later stage companies
  3. Must be passionately aligned with the mission of Boundless Life, enthusiastic about the product, and driven to help families live globally.
  4. At least 10 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with extensive experience overseeing legal or procurement functions.
  5. Proven expertise in financial planning, risk management, legal oversight, procurement strategies, dealing with complexity, and strategic thinking.
  6. Excellent leadership skills and experience in managing teams across geographically dispersed locations.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  8. Ability to adapt to new challenges and cities as the company explores new destinations.

Location

  1. This is a remote position giving priority to candidates with the most overlap with European timezones.
