ICBC is seeking a Sr. Manager Enterprise Architecture to join our dynamic and growing team. This role will play a critical role in shaping the future of our enterprise architecture, with a focus on technology governance, cloud technologies, security, and enterprise thinking.

Position Highlights :

  • Manage an EA team that operates as an internal management consultancy that delivers a suite of EA services in fulfilling ICBC's Corporate Strategy.
  • Drive the flexibility, adaptability and evolution of the EA team's services and operating model to ensure realization of targeted business outcomes.
  • Develop and implement enterprise architecture strategies and roadmaps.
  • Manager the creation and maintenance of enterprise standards and architectures
  • Manage or facilitate the creation of governing principles to guide information, technology and solution decision making for the enterprise.
  • Establish and enforce technology governance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Analyze technology, industry and market trends, and identify their potential impact on the enterprise.
  • Design and direct the governance structure and compliance activities (such as exception and exemption handling) associated with ensuring compliance with the EA standards.
  • Lead and manage all aspects of technology governance including cloud governance.
  • Provides input and recommendations on information technology investments and assists in managing IT assets that meet business needs and support the corporate strategy
  • Promote EA - its processes, outcomes and ongoing results - to the organization, including IT and business stakeholders.
  • Manages the overall technology landscape with a focus on simplification and optimization
  • Be a thought leader providing guidance and support to the management team in realizing ICBC's target architectural vision.
  • Support IT portfolio planning, management and modernization.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field/equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar senior IT role.
  • Proven experience in modern technologies and platforms including cloud computing.
  • Strong understanding of IT Governance, Management and operations.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Position Information:

  • ICBC provides comprehensive and flexible benefit coverage to all eligible employees including a defined benefit pension plan.

  • Resident - you will work at your primary in-office headquarters on all scheduled workdays.
  • Hybrid 8 - you will work a minimum of 8 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically 2 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
  • Hybrid 10 - you will work a minimum of 10 days per month at your primary in-office headquarters (typically one week in/one week out or up to 3 days per week). The remaining days will be remote within British Columbia.
  • Mobile - you will work remotely or in the field on scheduled workdays within British Columbia, with the requirement to be at your primary on-site headquarters by exception only.
