Working with a subject matter expert, this role focuses on support program development aimed at equipping our communities with essential resources and training to enhance internal capacity for preventing, intervening in, and responding to traumatic incidents while promoting mental wellness and preventing suicide. Coordinate all aspects of the Life Promotion project, including planning, scheduling, and execution of activities and events, ensuring adherence to timelines and resource efficiency. Conduct program and project evaluations using various research and evaluation tools. Provide administrative support for the project, including record maintenance and report preparation, ensuring compliance with organizational and funding requirements. Support planning and implementation of training sessions and workshops, customizing materials to suit the specific cultural context of Metis Nation of Ontario communities. Implement mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of mental wellness programs, collecting and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future initiatives. A post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience A high degree of technology literacy and proficiency in standard office equipment Advanced project management skills Superior organization skills and time/priority-management managing self and others, including the design and implementation of project work plans Demonstrated understanding of policies, processes, practices and documentation used to deliver program services or the Branch mandate Demonstrated ability to work alone/independently with minimal supervision Demonstrated experience in project management Demonstrated ability to leading a peer group to complete a task, deliverable or project Demonstrated ability to quickly acquire and expand knowledge and to be flexible when leading in a demanding and dynamic environment Completion of a Master's degree in a relevant field Knowledge of Metis-specific and broader indigenous policy and research, key challenges, and programs Knowledge of Metis-specific and broader indigenous key challenges, and programs A post-secondary degree or certification in mental health. Demonstrated ability to effectively maintain focus on work queues or projects with a longer time-line is an asset A reliable vehicle (or ability to rent), driver's license, $1,000,000 liability insurance, and a clean driving record Accommodations will be provided in accordance with the principles of dignity, individualization, and inclusion.
