GFL Environmental is a people-centric waste service organization which uses the latest technology to solve industry needs across North America. We are currently looking for a full-time Lugger Driver to join our team. As a Lugger Driver, you will be responsible for transporting lime waste from our client site to a designated location. This role requires strong driving skills, knowledge of manual transmissions, and experience in handling dump trailers. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of driving experience and a valid driver's license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently operate a lugger truck from Binbrook to Toronto.

• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation.

• Experience with the specific requirements of handling lugger bins and lugger trailer to ensure proper loading and unloading of mud waste.

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the lugger truck.

• Communicate effectively with customer personnel and other team members to coordinate pickup and delivery schedules.

• Wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), if required

• Ensure the lugger bins are securely fastened and positioned correctly on the truck and trailer.

• Report any incidents, accidents, or issues promptly to the supervisor.

• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, and any maintenance required.

• Assist with other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, Competencies:

• A clean Driving Abstract and CVOR

• AZ license, with minimum 3 years' experience

• Lugger experience is a must.

• Must be experienced with manual transmission.

• A thorough knowledge of safe driving procedures and traffic laws

• Previous experience driving around GTA and know the areas thoroughly.
