Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Electromechanical Technician (EMT) will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance to machinery, equipment and the facility in a safe a timely manner. Access to a group insurance plan & a pension plan with employer contributions. Troubleshoot, maintain and program PLC's and PLC software and hardware controlled equipment and machinery. Perform building maintenance and maintain a clean and safe work area and environment. Adjust, repair or replace defective electrical parts and components. Perform all assigned duties following applicable laws and regulations including but not limited to: Building and Electrical Codes, Environmental Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety etc. Required training and experience Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in the maintenance field, preferably in a food or beverage manufacturing environment. Experience with PLC programming (essential). Strong mechanical, electrical and technical background. Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations, Building and Electrical Codes, Environmental Act, etc. Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, CMMS and other integrated computer software and computerized devices.
