Job Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Director, the Key account manager PRO, works closely with Business Development Managers. In his role, he utilizes consultative selling skills and expertise to retain and grow established accounts as well as develop and close new businesses.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Drives consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of resources.
  • Identifies opportunities and develops action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings growth.
  • Develops and maintains a base of knowledge on all competitors and interacts with all Broan departments relative to this knowledge.
  • Recommends pricing and other actions as may be needed to accomplish objectives.
  • Shares new products ad future products opportunities with customers to gauge interest and generate revenue early on.
  • Represents the company at regional and national tradeshows, events.
  • Maintains records and submits reports required by the Company, including but not limited to annual sales and expense budgets.
  • Leverages the organizational resources appropriately to ensure that our customers' needs are satisfied. Including but not limited to:
    • Properly refers parties to appropriate company departments and assists in resolution of service and warranty issues.
    • Obtains credit information and provides such assistance to the Credit Department as may be required to insure the timely processing of customer orders.
  • Partners with the Business Development Manager to ensure all objectives are achieved.
  • Meets or exceeds assigned objectives for sales, penetration, etc.

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience, ideally in the B2B Construction industry.
  • Bachelor's degree or training in business management or sales or any other training or experience deemed relevant.
  • Demonstrated success in calling on B2B customers and translating those relationships into sales.
  • A strong work ethic, love of sales, and the drive to get out in the field and support existing business and/or pursue new business daily.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to use a consultative sale approach.
  • Super interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience and proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time, including some overnight travel.
