JOB OVERVIEW:

As Service Coordinator, you will provide flexible leadership support to Bethesda's leadership team and services in identified areas of need. You will work collaboratively with the director team to provide intermittent support to managers, respond to emerging leadership needs, and support the overall quality of Bethesda's services. This position will involve a combination of in-person supports within the Fraser Valley, remote support to managers, and occasional out-of-region travel. This is a full-time position, available immediately.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

· Competitive salary: $80,808 - $83,200

· Hiring bonus: $100 at time of hire, another $200 after 1 year of continuous employment and completion of all job requirements.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide crisis, interim, and remote support to Bethesda's existing management team.

· Oversee and coordinate the support and care of the people who participate in Bethesda services.

· Provide growth-oriented community inclusion opportunities.

· Recruit, hire, supervise and mentor resource managers and support workers

· Monitor and encourage excellence in services to people with intellectual disabilities

· Screen, interview and recommend individuals for placement into appropriate services

· Establish positive and responsive relationships with family members of people receiving services

· Develop and build relationships with external professionals, community partners and agency personnel

· Participate in the development and implementation of new service initiatives

· Assist in the development of administrative and quality improvement systems and initiatives.

· Coordinate and conduct staff training

· Develop and administer operations budgets

· Be available on-call to assist with crises

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

· A heart to support people with disabilities.

· Proven leadership experience and strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with people who have diverse abilities, their families, friends, staff, community, and extended support networks.

· Standard requirements (Criminal Record Check, Medical Clearance, Class 4 Driver's License (minimum Class 5 required upon hire), Tuberculosis Screening, ICBC Driving Record, Immunization Records).

· Full COVID-19 immunization.

· Strong organizational and assessment skills with a high level of personal integrity, initiative and maturity.

· Strong administrative and staff leadership skills.

· Excellent communication skills and ability to teach or train staff.

·Previous experience working with people living with disabilities preferred. Bethesda also welcomes candidates with a background in other similar settings, such as seniors living, affordable housing, social services, and healthcare. An understanding and ability to deliver person-centred supports and services is a must.

· Education background in a social services, leadership or another related field preferred.

· A philosophy of care in line with Bethesda's philosophy of Christian service and support for people with diverse abilities
