We are a small and highly collaborative team, looking to add a consumer-focused and analytical-minded Product Specialist . You are team-oriented, versatile, collaborative, and eager to take on the different challenges that come with working for an energetic start-up.

You will work closely with the Product/Marketing/Web team driving the product development process across several product categories, from concept to market.

Job Description

As a Product specialist you will:

• Taking responsibility for the presentation, content, SEO, maintenance, catalog and overall business health of key products and services being sold
• Ensuring eCommerce content, products, and links are up to date are working properly
• Ensuring imagery, copy, pricing, placement, cross-sells, and promotions are accurate and compelling
• Monitoring Silk & Snow and partner websites for accuracy in photos and content
• Reviewing and updating line sheets for accuracy on a regular basis
• Responsible for collaborating with design and development on product knowledge and relaying information to marketing for creation of sales/marketing tools
• Continually staying ahead of market and industry trends, performing competitor analysis, gathering wholesale and retail feedback
• Proposing and defining product pricing strategy
• Improving site conversion rates by analyzing data and working with team to implement site changes
• Improving product and category profitability by continually monitoring SKU productivity and competitors
• Project managing the product development to ensure timely commercialization and adherence with product roadmap
• Enforcing Silk & Snow's product and manufacturing principles, including production, quality, and delivery requirements with all suppliers
• Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements for products and packaging
• Continually improving product quality by working with suppliers to communicate product defects and implement product updates
• Ensuring consistency in product knowledge across departments by driving product communication with merchandising, sales, and customer experience teams
• Working cross functionally to launch and merchandise products and obtain feedback

Qualifications

The Qualifications and Experience we like to see:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Merchandising or a related field
• 3-5 years' experience in product management, product development, sourcing, or a related discipline
• 3-5 years' experience scaling new product categories in a B2C consumer products brand
• Experience with mattresses, beds, bedding, sleep products, furniture, soft home decor, and related categories – an asset
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product through its lifecycle, with an understanding of supply chain and sourcing processes
• Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive, projects and competing priorities simultaneously while working independently to drive projects to completion with minimum guidance
• Knowledge of current market, design, and product trends
• Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets
• Resourceful, proactive, and a true team player
