Our established Indigenous practice group is in search of an energetic, motivated and client focused professional to join the team in our Vancouver, British Columbia, office. Candidates should have at least two to five years' experience as an Indigenous practice area associate with interest and relevant experience in supporting negotiations, regulatory, consultation and governance work on behalf of Indigenous clients based in Western Canada. Our Indigenous practice group currently serves First Nations, Métis and Inuit governments and businesses across Canada, advising on a wide variety of legal matters including litigation and negotiations of Aboriginal and treaty rights specific claims, commercial law to advance economic development within Indigenous communities, lands and land management, labour and employment law, health and child welfare governance, law-making within Indigenous inherent jurisdiction, environmental legislation, and regulatory and administrative law. The successful candidate will receive close mentorship from senior lawyers within the practice group.
