Construction Project Administrator

Centura Building Systems is a construction company that specializes in the manufacturing of prefabricated exterior Wall cladding panels and steel structures. We are currently looking for a Construction Project Administrator to join our project team at head office. You will be organizing project activities and maintaining project document control to ensure administrative and communication structure are maintained throughout the life of a project.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to project team
  • Perform general administrative & record keeping functions including the review and distribution of project documentation, correspondence, minutes and field review reports, maintenance of project files, logs, drawings, specification, submittals, and RFIs. Track and manage RFI(s), transmittals, shop drawings, site instructions, contemplated change notices and change orders
  • Assist with procurement and delivery
  • Maintain billing, scope, materials, and other job objectives
  • Support subcontract management and processing of invoices and progress claim.
  • Assist in the coordination of change orders management process
  • Prepare project closeout documents by collecting warranties, O & M materials, and equipment start up records.
  • Candidate must have knowledge in all aspects of plan reading/take off, negotiations, estimating, job cost accounting, budgeting time/material, managing, framing, drywall hanging, taping and finishing.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of previous knowledge of construction documents (Drywall), drawings, specification, practices and methodology.
  • Quantity Surveyor education or experience is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with multiple project stakeholders, understand their needs and proactively identify solutions.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Strong computer skills with aptitude for learning new programs. Construction accounting software background beneficial.
  • Excellent estimating and accounting skills
  • Strong MS Word, Excel
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Fluent in written and verbal English
  • Can work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
