Finastra is currently seeking a Senior Specialist, Benefits to join our amazing HR team. Reporting to the Global Head of Benefits & Mobility, this position is responsible for benefits programs in our Americas and Asia-Pacific (APAC) region, with a focus on US, Canada and India. This position will have oversight of the benefit programs including health, welfare, life and disability, DC and DB pension plans as well as the wellness initiatives.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the Americas and APAC annual enrollment process including set-up, communications, carrier preparation and local broker management.
  • Actively coordinate cross-functional teams including, but not limited to the following: People Services, Legal, HRIS, Communications, CSR, etc.
  • Provide management planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing employee benefit data and trends.
  • Track and manage the regional benefits budget, providing regular updates to the senior leadership team
  • Work with external consultants/brokers to manage the design, development, pricing, and implementation of new and existing benefit programs within the assigned region
  • Prepare, analyze and deliver reporting and cost projections to support the recommendation of benefit plan changes and ensure program governance
  • Lead the annual plan renewal processes, including evaluation of costs, design reviews, data requirements and communications. Coordinate the planning, organizing and directing the activities related to annual enrollments and changes to existing benefit plan design, changes in processes etc.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive communication material/training documentation for new and existing benefit programs
  • Act as the escalation point for internal and external inquiries relating to benefit plans, policies and procedures and advise management on resolving benefits issues
  • Monitor benefit trends in the business environment and stay abreast of applicable benefits legislation. Research, analyze and interpret existing and proposed statutory requirements governing benefits plans and recommend appropriate course of action.
  • Completing special projects on various benefit and budget matters as needed
Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • At least 4-5 years of experience managing US benefits (Canadian and global benefit experience is a plus, but not a must)
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritize in a complex environment with multiple tasks and tight deadlines and with a high degree of change and ambiguity
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through on commitments and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and employee relations skills with understanding of the importance of confidentiality
  • Ability to work with multi-functional areas
  • Strong background working data using Excel or other widely used systems
