F.P. Walshe School in Fort Macleod, Alberta is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

This full-time probationary position includes teaching Biology 20, Biology 30, Science 9, Science 10, Math 9, & Physical Education 20/30. The position will begin on August 26, 2024.

We are seeking a teacher who:

• builds strong rapport with students and creates a safe and caring learning environment;
• the ability to work collaboratively as part of an innovative and energetic instructional team
• creates an engaging learning environment for students through strong planning practices and delivery of effective pedagogy
• the ability to form positive working relationships with staff, students and parents

• strong organizational and classroom management skills
• provides an engaging environment for students from a variety of backgrounds including at risk and educationally disengaged students;
• has a passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations Metis and Inuit students;
• is knowledgeable of and experienced with current assessment practices;
• has experience teaching the most recent Alberta High School Curriculum.

The successful candidate possesses or is eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
