About the Job

The Director, Shared Services is a newly created role resulting from the substantial growth that REV has experienced over the past few years. REV is looking for a professional and passionate individual that wants to join a progressive and agile business to direct and oversee the shared services support function for the business, including Finance and Accounting, HR, QA and IT in Canada and the US.

The role is both broad and challenging but with a mandate to provide exceptional leadership of all corporate support services and helping to drive the strategic direction of the organization.

Description of the Role
Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions in conjunction with the VP Operations and the CFO.
Direct and manage month-end close activities; accounting for all business transactions with journal entries, updating financial statements, preparing monthly financial reports.
Direct and manage the monthly reporting and analysis of financial results including detailed variance review of the month's operational results, review/preparation of banking transactions and reconciliations, and review/preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations (including leases, ARO, etc.).
Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.
Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish company goals and objectives.
Develop and implement the Financial & Accounting Strategy.
In conjunction with SR HR Manager Develop and implement the HR Strategy.
In conjunction with the Quality Lead develop the Compliance, Risk and Quality Assurance programs ensuring all governance frameworks and policies are fit for purpose, up to date and in compliance with all regulatory and ISO requirements.
Develop and implement strategic plans for shared services that align with the company's overall goals and objectives. This may include streamlining processes, optimizing resources, and improving efficiency.
Identify opportunities for process improvement within shared services functions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for shared services functions and prepare regular reports to assess performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
Lead change management efforts related to shared services initiatives, ensuring effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and adoption of new processes or technologies.

Requirements
Bachelor of Commerce focusing on Accounting/Finance
CPA Accounting Designation
15+ years' experience in leading corporate support and shared services teams
Deep knowledge of leading delivery of customer centric internal services and functions
Able to build and nurture productive relationships at senior level and engage and manage high performing teams
Strong knowledge of business principles including but not limited to, financial management, HR, project management, strategy, operational planning and administration
