Truck/Transport and Trailer Mechanic $2,000 Sign-On Bonus
National Tank Services, a division of Trimac Transportation, is looking for a Journeyman Mechanic for our team in Kamloops, BC. Pay:

• Journeyman Truck Mechanic starting wage $42.92/per hour, based on 40 hours per week
• Shift premiums available: $2.00 for weekends, $2.00 for afternoon shifts, $2.50 graveyard, $2.00 for lead hands
• $.50 for CVI ticket
• $2,000 Sign-On Bonus ($1,000 paid after 90 days, $1,000 paid after 120 days)
• Relocation Incentive Offered

Shift/Hours:

• Rotating shift: 8 or 10-hour shifts available
• Monday - Friday 7:00 am- 3:30 pm
• (different shift options available to accommodate if necessary)

About the Position:

• Performs trailer repair- preventative maintenance, electrical work, brakes, and suspension.
• Performs tractor repair- preventative maintenance,electrical work, brakes, suspension, engine diagnostics, general running repairs; PTO.
• Owns basic tools required for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Professionally maintain equipment.
• Follow policies & procedures.
• Work safely, using directed PPE.
• Complete tasks in a timely fashion as per the Standard Repair Time Guidelines.
• Maintain fleet equipment.
• Drive and Shunt equipment.

Skills:

• Operation of hand tools.
• Operation of air tools.
• Strong and reliable work ethic.
• Positive attitude and job performance.

Requirements:

• Training to obtain Journeyman Red Seal status.
• May work above shoulder level with power and/or hand tools weighing 15 pounds or less and in confined spaces.
• Must meet the physical requirements of the position and have mobility, vision, hearing, sense of smell, and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties performed.
• May stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces, twist, bend, push, pull, crouch, climb stairs, bend and crawl, grasp, drag, lift, and carry items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
• Must be willing and able to work at heights up to 15 feet.

Educational Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
