Resolution Staffing Inc. is working in partnership with our client in the Northumberland area who is currently seeking a full-time permanent Plant Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company. This is a permanent full-time opportunity where you will be hired on directly by the company day one. Preference would be given to someone who has middle management experience and is looking for growth.

Responsibilities:
Support all aspects of the manufactured production process to ensure high level of quality
Use root cause analysis to identify gaps & lead process improvement activities
Review manufactured products to ensure optimum formulation & quality
Identify safety improvements & products capable of utilizing gravimetric feeders to minimize handling & increase output
Maintain process set conditions & update manuals
Ensure compliance with ISO 2015 standards
Develop & maintain work documents for plant production tasks & job safety analysis
Collect daily plant performance results & update scoreboards
Identify gaps & develop action plans
Prepare SWOT analysis for Production Department & update quarterly
Recommend equipment additions or upgrades
Work with the Technical Manager to attain new business through trials & resolve process issues

Requirements:
Degree from a recognized university in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Chemical Engineering
Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) Certification is considered a definite asset
Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt experience is an asset
5 years experience formulating & compounding polyolefin-based compounds or master batches or with plastics/polymers
Extensive knowledge of configuration & operation of co-rotating twin screw extruders & other auxiliary equipment in a production environment
Supervisory experience in a production environment
Good communication, written , verbal & team settings
Experience using Microsoft Office, including the ability to create reports, documents, presentations, pivot tables & spreadsheets in MS Word, MS Excel, & MS PowerPoint
