NOC Job Title: Farm Supervisor

Job Location: Avenue Maple Ridge, British Columbia V4R 2P7 Canada

Job Description:

• Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers, mushroom pickers, and harvesting labourers.
• Develop work schedules and establish procedures.
• Supervise and oversee growing, harvesting procedures, and other crop-related operations.
• Maintain quality control and production records.
• Train new employees and assist workers in their duties as needed.
• Ensure all health and safety procedures are always followed by workers.
• Oversee the overall handling of produce to ensure production meets the highest quality standards for the company.
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning mushroom growing rooms, irrigation, cultivation, or harvesting.
• Supervise regular cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, tools, and work areas.
• Perform the examination of properly packed and sorted mushrooms in containers or crates according to specific guidelines and industry standards.
• Supervise the signs of diseases that can affect mushroom crops for healthy crop growing.
• Other duties assigned by Farm Manager.

Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary school is required.
• 6 months to 1 year experience as a farmer.
