Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional Procurement Director to lead strategic Procurement within our largest region. This role is tailored for candidates with 15+ years of extensive experience in developing high performing procurement teams and managing effective relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies and initiatives tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities of IPEX, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
Lead a diverse team of procurement professionals, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and support to drive high performance, innovation, and collaboration.
Oversee all aspects of procurement including strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management.
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, department heads to understand their requirements, priorities, and challenges and align category strategies.
Navigate complex stakeholder landscapes and manage competing interests and priorities to ensure alignment and consensus on procurement decisions and strategies.
Support/Coach the Procurement team during supplier selection processes, conducting rigorous evaluations of supplier capabilities, performance, and compliance with quality and ethical standards.
Lead activities to identify & mitigate risks,
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Stay up to date on market trends and industry developments to identify opportunities for savings, process improvements, sustainable sourcing and innovation.
Design and implement robust procurement processes, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accountability in collaboration with the group procurement team.
Drive the adoption of digital procurement tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. Enable data / insights driven decision making.
Prepare and present regular reports, updates, and recommendations to senior management on procurement activities, achievements, and challenges.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM, CPM) are highly desirable.
15+ years of progressive experience in procurement with 5+years leadership roles.
Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience in managing complex stakeholder relationships and navigating organizational dynamics to achieve consensus and drive results.
Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies and initiatives that drive cost savings, improve quality, and mitigate risks in complex environments.
Expertise in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data/insights-driven decisions.
