About the Opportunity

We are currently looking for multiple Centrifuge Equipment Operators to join our team. You will be working on a per-project basis on sites across Western Canada, with travel to our head office in Leduc, AB required on occasion.

Your essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Participate in safety meetings, hazard assessments, hazard identification, near miss and incident reporting, procedures and safety analysis, and other attachments, tower sheets, etc.
Operate, monitor, and control process levels, temperatures, pressures, and flows for applicable processes and systems
Ensure that required documentation is legible, accurate, and completed on a timely basis daily
Follow Preventative Maintenance Inspection Programs and complete related tasks
Operate and maintain centrifuge systems and affiliated equipment
Perform mechanical and/or equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair as required
Maintain safe and clean equipment and general work area
Assist/lead the team with rigging up and tearing out process (i.e. traverse and turfer cables, slurry piping, process hoses, set up of dewatering process, run power cables, service of engines, mobilize/demobilize and spotting of equipment, working with cranes and winch trucks, etc.)
Conduct general labour, including but not limited to, digging, sweeping, monitoring, sampling, and spotting for trucks
Drive a crew truck to and from sites as required
Assist with mentoring new employees on occasion
Conduct daily pre-& post-operational checks on equipment and document in equipment logs
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents occurring on-site to the supervisor
About You

To qualify, you must have 1-2 years of centrifuge, dredging, or dewatering experience. A valid Class 5 driver's license, and a high school diploma or equivalent are also required for this role.

The following will be critical to successfully performing this role:

Comprehensive knowledge of executing dewatering methods without compromising health, safety, environment, and property
Willingness to acquire and maintain all certifications as required (H2S Awareness, First Aid, Mobile Equipment, etc.)
Ability to operate heavy equipment with various attachments is an asset
Experience working with Microsoft Office and other computer systems
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting a minimum of 55lbs, working in confined spaces, frequent use of ladders, and working at heights
Proficiency with two-way radio communications
Mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and other troubleshooting knowledge are assets
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to work day & night shifts, up to 12 hours in duration, along with the possibility of assigned on-call shifts and/or additional overtime when needed

Above all, you are a strong team player with the ability to work both in a team and independently, while being highly organized, with the interpersonal skills to liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
