(Candidates are required to work at various locations in the lower mainland British Columbia) Wage rate: $28.85 per hour, overtime will start after 40 hours per week Job Duties: Ready the construction site each day for the current project by preparing materials, tools, and equipment Apply new project instructions for each job and make adjustments as direction by the construction manager or supervisor Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas Wear clean safety equipment, such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, helmets, and boots that are in good repair Comply with health and safety regulations when operating equipment or walking on the job site even when not on active duty Maintain a brisk and productive pace of activities to complete all assigned tasks within time constraints Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt Leave construction equipment and tools clean, organized, and stored in an orderly fashion after each use Assist other team members in construction activities Direct traffic at or near construction sites Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed. Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required.
