Duties and Responsibilities as a Construction Helper (NOC 75110), but not limited - Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and masons, by performing basic tasks. - Carrying materials, setting up and dismantling scaffolding, and cleaning work areas. - Loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to and from the construction site. - Assist in preparing construction sites for work, such as clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling the ground. - Maintaining and cleaning construction equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. - Assist skilled workers by handing them tools and materials, holding items in place, and performing other tasks as directed. - Must adhere to safety regulations and procedures at all times to prevent accidents and injuries. - Operate equipment as directed, such as pneumatic hammers, vibrators, and tampers. - Manage traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring smooth and safe traffic flow around the worksite. - Perform other tasks at construction sites as directed.
