Job Information
As a communication expert working for the Department of Municipal and Community Affairs, you have the potential to be at the forefront of an emergency response. With built in surge capacity, you would also have support if a long term incident occurred. You would be communicating on a variety of mandates including but limited to, Emergency Preparedness, Community Governance, and Sport and Recreation. Located in the beautiful City of Yellowknife , you would be working with colleagues from all over the Northwest Territories. If you are curious, thrive in a fast-pace and diverse environment, this is the job for you.
To be successful, you would have adegree in public relations, journalism, communication, public administration or relevant equivalent, and five (5) years of progressive communications experience.Experience working as part of an Incident Management Team,with major community emergency events orin a northern environment would be asset.
