The Pines Long Term Care Home is currently recruiting for a Registered Practical Nurse - RAI and Admissions

The Opportunity
In this RPN role, you will provide professional nursing care to residents and oversee the care given by nonregistered staff, with a specific focus on Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and Admissions. You will provide care in a manner consistent with the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Practice, the regulations set out in the Long Term Care Homes Act and the policies and procedures of the Pines.

What You Will Do:
Under the direction of an RN, provide and
ensure nursing care that promotesresident/family choice and acknowledges theresidents' strengths and limitations as well astheir need for safety and the safety of otherresident/family and staff.
Assist RN with admitting, discharging and transferring residents
Provide additional coverage on unit as needed
Perform responsibilities of the position with the legislative and regulatory standards set out in applicable Provincial and Municipal legislation, and the policies and procedures of the Pines
What You Will Need:
Current certificate of competence from the
College of Nurses of Ontario, in good standing,currently requiring the completion of a post-secondary diploma in Practical Nursing (2.5years diploma)
Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care home is an asset plus on-the-job
orientation and training of up to 6 months.
Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support
Completed police record check, including vulnerable sector screening

What We Are Offering

There is currently one Permanent Full-time and one Temporary Full-time opportunity for this position at the District. The schedule consists of Monday to Friday with shift options of 7am -3pm or 11am - 7pm . The hourly compensation range for this role is $30.65 - $33.06.
